The performance of a gaming laptop is also greatly affected by its CPU. The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF) is powered by an AMD Ryzen™ 5 7535HS processor that uses a configuration of 6 cores and 12 threads, with a clock speed that can reach 4.55 GHz.

The gaming-class CPU is not the most advanced available today, but it is very capable of delivering a good usage experience, especially for gaming, multitasking, and content creation.

Based on the photo and video editing benchmark results using UL Procyon, ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF) can produce scores that can be said to be very good for an entry-level gaming laptop. Not only that, ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF) didn't even experience any issues when tested using the AI image generation feature in Adobe Photoshop.

Meanwhile, here are the CPU benchmark results using Cinebench R15 and R23, as well as the benchmark results of the SSD installed in the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF).

Heat is Just Mystical

Many people say that the TUF Gaming series is hot, and there are even other brands that make advertisements specifically showing laptops with TUF Gaming designs and said to be hot gaming laptops in order to promote their laptops.

But after our review, the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop is not what it says it is. Its operating temperature is so cool that it almost never touches 90 degrees Celsius when used for gaming. The graph below is the proof!

The graph above is a recording of the temperature when the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF) was Stress Tested using 3DMark Time Spy. Stress Test is a test that forces the laptop to work at full performance so that we can see whether the tested laptop has a good cooling system or not.

From the chart, the TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF) proved to have a very good cooling system. The maximum temperature is only 79.5 degrees for CPU and 74.9 degrees Celsius for GPU. These numbers are relatively low for the Stress Test process. So heat is just the mythical TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NF).
