Official announcement regarding the continuation of the anime series Skeleton Knight in Another World was finally released in the livestream event “Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special 2026 Part 1”. The event revealed the latest key visuals, teaser video, as well as a confirmed airdate for Season 2 which will continue Arc's adventures in a fantasy world.
Story Premise and Trailer
Through the livestream event, the production has finally confirmed that Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in the month of March. July 2026. Along with the release date announcement, a promotional teaser video (PV) was also shown to give an early glimpse into the continuing adventures of Arc and Arianne.
In addition to footage anime, Overlap also brings exciting news from the music side. The artist who performed Season 1's opening theme song, PelleK, is set to return for the second season. The Norwegian singer-songwriter even gave a special video message to greet the fans:
For viewers who want to refresh their memories before the second season begins, the series' story centers on a gamer who falls asleep playing a video game and wakes up in the game world as his character. He has a powerful arsenal of weapons and armor, but is trapped in a terrifying skeletal form.
Arc, the protagonist, tries to find his place in this new world while hiding his identity so as not to be considered a monster. Although he intends to live a quiet life as a mercenary, he cannot ignore the evil that is happening in front of him.
His encounter with a beautiful elven warrior then leads him on a journey full of conflict and new adventures.

Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 Production Staff
Season 2 will be produced by Aura Studio, replacing Studio KAI and HORNETS who handled the previous season. Despite the studio change, Katsumi Ono returns as director. Toshizo Nemoto is now in charge of the series script, replacing Takeshi Kikuchi.

About Skeleton Knight in Another World
Skeleton Knight in Another World (Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechu or Skeleton Knight, going out to the parallel universe) is adapted from the light novel by Ennki Hakari which was first launched on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro in October 2014. Overlap then published its first print volume with illustrations by KeG in June 2015. A manga adaptation by Akira Sawano has also been running on Overlap's Comic Gardo site since February 2017.
With a release schedule set for July 2026, this anime will be one of the highlights of the Summer 2026 period.
