Since its release, the game has set a record high with an average daily playtime of over four hours, and this is one of the highest average playtime impressions in Ubisoft's history.
This first season marks the start of an adventure at sea where players will expand their pirate territory and face new threats. In "Raging Tides", players will embark on a dangerous adventure against the Pirate Lord, Philippe La Peste, and his legendary pirate ship, La Potence. Here are some of the new features offered in Season 1 of "Raging Tides":
- Tides of Terror: A seasonal event where players will battle against La Peste's Fleet of Pestilence... This battle will be held in a World Event, where players will storm La Peste's base, Blighted Bastion.
- New World Events: Players will encounter Elite Warships from megacorporations like the DMC (Opwelling), and local factions like the Clan of Fara (Mizerja). Not only that, traders carrying high-value booty will also be present along the trade routes in the Indian Ocean.
- New Bounty: Players can 'pick up' bounties that will lead you to some legends, such as the mysterious Ghost Ship (Rode Maangodin), or the creepy Sea Monster (Zamaharibu).
Additionally, there will be weapon rewards in the leaderboard for more powerful gear, as well as a Seasonal Smuggler Pass that grants three free paths to acquire new game items and blueprints to optimize and customize ship loads.
Players will also get free cosmetics ranging from captain and ship cosmetic sets to resources and Pieces of Eight. The Premium Pass also adds extra cosmetics and Gold premium currency.
