Capcom announced that total sales Street Fighter 6 has surpassed 7 million units worldwide. This information comes from Gematsu, which reports that the fighting game has sold an additional 300,000 units since the last sales report as of March 31, 2026.
In a previous report, Street Fighter 6 was reported to have sold 6.7 million units worldwide. With this latest milestone, Street Fighter 6 has continued to demonstrate solid sales performance since its initial release in 2023.
Street Fighter 6 Sales Continue to Rise

Street Fighter 6 was first released on June 2, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Capcom then released the Switch 2 version on June 5, 2025.
The availability of Street Fighter 6 on various platforms has allowed the game to reach a wider audience. The additional 300,000 units sold since late March 2026 also indicate that interest in the game remains strong, even though it has been more than three years since its initial release.
The Three Main Modes in Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6 is the latest evolution in Capcom’s fighting game series. The game was developed using the RE Engine and offers three main modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
- Fighting Ground features various core modes from previous installments in the series, including Arcade Mode, online matches, Training Mode, and local versus battles. These modes form the heart of the classic fighting experience that Street Fighter fans know and love.
- World Tour is an immersive single-player story mode that lets players create their own avatars and embark on a journey through the world of Street Fighter.
- Meanwhile, Battle Hub serves as a space for players to interact, communicate, and engage with the rest of the player community.
New Features for New and Existing Players

In addition to retaining the classic mode, Street Fighter 6 also introduces a number of new features. One of them is the Drive System, a new gauge used to execute five different techniques during a fight, for both offense and defense.
Capcom is also introducing the Modern Control Type as a new control scheme. This feature is designed to let players jump right into the action with simpler inputs. Meanwhile, the Classic Control Type remains available for players who want to stick with the traditional playstyle.
Street Fighter 6 also features Real-Time Commentary, which brings the voices of commentators from the fighting game community into the matches. This feature supports subtitles in 13 languages and is designed to recreate the atmosphere of a real tournament.
Part of the Legendary Fighting Game Franchise
Street Fighter is one of the most well-known fighting game franchises in the gaming industry. Since its debut 35 years ago, the series has sold more than 47 million units worldwide.
With Street Fighter 6 sales now surpassing 7 million units, Capcom has once again achieved a major milestone for the series. The game is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
