The Tokyo Game Show 2026 will feature 1,138 exhibitors. This number includes 540 Japanese companies and 598 companies from overseas. The total number of participants comes from 53 countries and regions, the highest number in the event’s history.
The total number of exhibition booths reached 3,999. For the first time, TGS will run for five consecutive days, from September 17 to September 21, 2026. This duration makes TGS 2026 the longest edition in the event’s history.

CESA released the official map for TGS 2026 via this interactive map. The exhibition area includes Exhibition Halls 1 through 11, the International Conference Hall, and the TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, which was added this year.

Each hall serves a different purpose. Here is a breakdown of the main zones at the venue:
- Hall 1 houses the Event Stage, the Game Academy Corner, and the General Exhibition
- Halls 1 through 8 will serve as the General Exhibition area for domestic and international publishers
- Halls 9 through 11 feature Specialized Areas for the following categories: Smartphone Games, Gaming Hardware, Esports, Gaming Lifestyle, AR/VR, and All Accessibility
- Halls 9 and 10 will serve as the Indie Game Area, featuring 80 selected indie games on the second floor of the Esplanade
- The outdoor areas east and west of Hall 9 will serve as the Cosplay Area, open exclusively on the three Public Days
- TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall features the Family Game Park, which is open only on Public Day
Main Stage Schedule and Official Live Stream
The Event Stage in Hall 1 will feature a full five-day program. The program begins with the Opening Ceremony on September 17, followed by a keynote address titled “30 Years of TGS and Proposals for 2056” by CESA Chairman Haruhiro Tsujimoto.

Some other interesting stage sessions include:
- Twitch Stage featuring speakers Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch, and Whalen Rozelle, SVP of Riot Games, on September 17
- LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW NEW PROJECT on September 19, featuring the latest details on the game world and gameplay
- 30th Anniversary Title Talk Stage on September 19, featuring Resident Evil, Persona, and Story of Seasons
- Japan Game Awards 2026 Future Division Ceremony on September 20
- Red Bull Revenge, an invitational Street Fighter 6 tournament, on September 21

Official Merchandise and Food Court Menu for the 30th Anniversary Edition
TGS 2026 will feature more than 60 official merchandise items. The main designs were created by illustrator Zashikiwarashi, with additional artwork by the digital artist collective ANIMAREAL. The merchandise will be sold exclusively at the venue and includes T-shirts, towels, keychains, acrylic stands, and mugs.

CESA is also featuring collaboration items with several games showcased at TGS 2026. Participating titles include Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Thieves.
The food court is featuring a special menu called “30 BOOST FOOD” to celebrate TGS’s 30th anniversary. This menu offers special portions or ingredients with a 30 percent increase. Visitors can also order food in advance through the LINE Mini App by scanning the QR code at the venue.
New Sponsors and TGS BOOSTERZ Wave 4
CESA has announced new sponsors for TGS 2026. MIXI, Inc. is joining as a gaming sponsor for the TGS Creator Lounge Presented by Twitch. Pocketpair, Inc. is also joining as a food court sponsor, featuring a Palworld-themed food truck in the outdoor area of Halls 4 through 6.
TGS BOOSTERZ, the official TGS ambassador program, is entering its fourth wave. This wave adds five new creator teams, including musician Takao Suzuki and VTubers Rei7 and Otora. With this announcement, the full roster of 30 TGS BOOSTERZ ambassador teams is now complete to celebrate TGS’s 30th anniversary.
TGS NEWS STUDIO and How to Stay Updated on the Latest News
The second episode of the official TGS NEWS STUDIO news program aired on September 11 at 7:00 p.m. Japan time. This episode covered the latest venue map, stage schedule, 30th-anniversary initiatives, and official merchandise.
The program will also announce the 10 finalists of the Gamer Senryu (Haiku) competition via the official TGS X account. Host Risa Unai will be joined by three TGS BOOSTERZ ambassadors: JP, Kaori Maeda, and Yukidora.
