SEGA has announced that Total War: WARHAMMER III – Lords of the End Times will be released on September 24, 2026. This DLC is billed as the largest in the Total War series’ history over the past 10 years, introducing four new Legendary Lords inspired by the End Times lore into the Immortal Empires campaign, complete with new combat units, lore-based features, and free updates that significantly alter gameplay.
Four New Legendary Lords
Each new Legendary Lord brings a different strategic playstyle, in keeping with the Warhammer lore. The four are Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead, who seeks to drain the life from the world to achieve godhood; Boris Todbringer, Elector Count of Middenland, who fights to rekindle Ulric’s flame to defend the Empire; the Glottkin, who spread Nurgle’s repulsive gardens across the land; and Thanquol, who carries out various devious schemes behind the scenes.
Combat Units and New Features
This DLC also introduces a number of new characters and combat units, including the Khemric Titan, a giant scarab-shaped construct animated by magic; the Verminlords, daemonic manifestations of the Great Horned Rat; the Putrid Blight Kings, an elite army that is rotting and swarming with daemon flies; and the Celestial Hurricanum, a magical war machine imbued with the power of the eight magical winds.
New Entry Point to Immortal Empires
For the first time in the series, purchasing Lords of the End Times content—whether as a bundle or individually—grants direct access to the Immortal Empires campaign without requiring ownership of any other Total War: WARHAMMER game. This makes it an easier entry point for new players.
Free Updates and Additional Legendary Lords
Along with the release of this DLC, Total War: WARHAMMER III is also receiving one of the biggest free updates in the series’ history. This update introduces Vampire Queen Neferata as a new Legendary Lord, a complete rework of the Vampire Counts faction and the character Archaon the Everchosen, new End Game Scenarios, and updated Victory Conditions for all existing Legendary Lords.
Contents of the Lords of the End Times Bundle
The Lords of the End Times Bundle includes 4 Legendary Lords, 8 Legendary Heroes, 5 Lords & Heroes packs, 23 combat units, and 12 Regiments of Renown, plus new gameplay mechanics, features, and objectives. Each Legendary Lord and its associated content can also be purchased separately.
