Steam Hardware, devices next-gen from Valve

Officially on November 13, 2025, Valve announced three new products from the Steam Hardware line: Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller. Building on the success of Steam Deck, these products aim to strengthen and complement Valve's gaming ecosystem. The company also stated that it plans to release these three products on early 2026.

With a minimalist black cube design befitting a TV shelf, this device offers excellent performance. This device is designed to run game at 4K resolution with technology upscaling. Its performance is claimed to be up to six times higher than Steam Deck.

Steam Frame, Valve's latest VR Headset

Valve is re-entering the world of Virtual Reality (VR) with the Steam Frame, a fully wireless and self-contained VR headset (standalone). Unlike the Valve Index which requires a high-powered PC, the Steam Frame is powered by an internal processor and runs the SteamOS operating system.

The biggest change is the addition of two thumbstick, making it more familiar like controller standard while still retaining its unique features.

Steam Hardware Pricing and Availability

Currently, Valve has not announced the exact price for these three devices but Valve emphasizes a low-cost approach. The release window for these three new devices is targeted for early 2026. All three devices will be available in the same regions as the Steam Deck, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, and some Asian countries distributed by Komodo.
