Production staff for adaptation anime of horror-action manga Kaya-chan Isn't Scary has announced the latest information regarding the airdate, visuals, and additional cast lineup. The anime is scheduled for a Winter 2026 release.

Story Kaya-chan Isn't Scary centers on Kaya-chan, a child in kindergarten who is considered a troublemaker by the adults. However, they are unaware of her hidden secret. Chie-sensei, the teacher assigned to watch over her, later learns that Kaya-chan has the ability to see evil spirits and defeat them with a single punch.

The story follows the journey of the five-year-old boy who often gets into trouble for his efforts to help others from evil spirits.

About Kaya-chan Isn't Scary

Kaya-chan Isn't Scary (Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai) is an adaptation of a manga written by Yuritaro. The manga began its serialization on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website in April 2022. Shinchosha released the seventh volume of the manga on June 9. For international distribution, Seven Seas has licensed the manga and released the first volume on April 29.

With the confirmation of the airdate and production details, fans now have a clearer picture of the upcoming anime adaptation.
