Adaptation anime of the series light novel popularly titled I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand has finally revealed the latest details about its airing. This information was delivered alongside the launch of a new promotional video during the FES 2026 GA event.

The anime is scheduled to premiere on Spring 2026, April to be exact. Studio GEKKOU is in charge of the animation production. Previously, project this was first announced in October 2025. Video teaser The newly released promotion shows visual footage and introduces the main characters that will appear in the story.
The story in this series centers on a hero named Luck. He makes the tough choice to hold off the demon horde alone so that his comrades can escape safely. The fight that should have been the end for him instead lasted for ten years.
Thanks to a combination of luck, skill, and ingenuity, Luck managed to survive and come out as the sole winner. The anime I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand will follow Luck's journey as he returns to the world. He must face a new dilemma of how to fill his time in a world where he holds multiple roles: as a legend, a veteran, and a newcomer at the same time.

About I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand
This work began as a series light novel written by Ezogingitune with illustrations by DeeCHA. The original story was first published on Shosetsuka ni Naro from June 2018 to January 2021. SB Creative then took over its publishing under the GA Novel label from February 2019.
In addition to novels, the series also received a manga adaptation by Chako Abeno with story composition by Kitsune Tennoji. The manga began to be published on the Manga UP! Square Enix in August 2019. To date, the series has recorded a circulation figure of over 4.25 million copies.
