In addition to a lineup of new games, the Tokyo Game Show 2026 will also welcome guests from outside the “traditional” gaming industry—Walker Industries, a small research and development group that calls itself “Prominence.” They will be bringing three XR devices to the event, which takes place September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe.

Shinra Meisin, Mod Eye and Mouth Tracking

The first device is Shinra Meisin, a mod developed in collaboration with EOZVR to add eye and mouth tracking to existing VR headsets.

According to their explanation, this system is designed to remain accurate and have minimal latency for social presence in games like VRChat, without the need for complicated manual calibration—and it’s even claimed to continue functioning when the headset is tilted or the user is wearing glasses.

Vector Gear, a Standalone Headset That Doesn’t Require a PC

The Vector Gear is positioned as a headset that doesn’t require a connection to a computer—it can run desktop programs, emulate mobile and console games, and even display apps from other devices.

In terms of specifications, this headset features a 2160×2160 TFT LCD display, a dual-CPU system (one for tracking, one for running software), full-color passthrough, automatic IPD adjustment, and a 90Wh battery.

Andromeda, a Lighter Version for PCVR

Meanwhile, the Andromeda is designed to be lighter and is intended for those who want to connect it to a PC (either via cable or wirelessly) for PCVR.

This headset offers a choice of 2560×2560 pancake-type or 1600×1600 panels, features inside-out tracking, and has a battery capacity of approximately 45Wh. All three headsets support full face tracking and are considered modding-friendly.

XRUIOS, the Operating System Behind All Three

Interestingly, all three headsets run on their own open-source operating system, XRUIOS (Extended Reality User Interface Operating System). Through XRUIOS, users can mirror their apps and desktops into mixed reality, and even connect with other users online to see and interact with each other’s UIs—something they describe as being similar to a real-world MMORPG.

Some of the use cases they mention are quite unique: making a cramped room feel like a studio with multiple virtual “monitors,” enabling an old-school internet-style display via “DOS 999” mode, and even a grimoire-themed interface for users who want to experience the sensation of “casting spells” through a feature called Artifex Arcana.

Try It Out at TGS 2026

Walker Industries will host a live demo at booth 09-E95 in the indie area of TGS 2026, as well as hold a separate event at a hotel near the venue on September 18. For more information, please visit Walker Industries' official website.
