The Closed Beta Test for Sea of Remnants will begin in December 2026.
The Sailor Without a Memory and the Mysteries of the Orbtopia Seas
Players will take on the role of a puppetfolk sailor who has lost his memory. This character is stranded in the city of Orbtopia. From this city, players begin their journey to explore an archipelago full of mysteries.
The game’s new trailer raises one big question: Why does a Voyager with no memory keep returning to the same ocean? Every island, every encounter, and every forgotten story becomes part of a long journey to rediscover what has been lost.
This story also highlights the personal side of the adventure. Every voyage isn’t just about what’s brought home from the sea. There’s also the aspect of who’s waiting for the player at home.
Loop: Set Sail, Explore, Collect, and Return
Sea of Remnants features a core loop called “Set Sail, Explore, Collect, and Return.” Players will set sail, explore islands, collect resources, and then return to Orbtopia.
Combat in this game is turn-based and varies with each voyage. Battles take place both on land and at sea through naval encounters. In addition to combat, the game also features minigames and other casual activities throughout the journey.
Each voyage is designed as a highly replayable roguelike adventure. Enemies, bosses, potential crew members, equipment, skills, and enhancements will always vary. Players must continually adapt their crew strategies and combat tactics on every new voyage.
Permanent Progress Through Orbtopia City
After returning from the sea, players will arrive in Orbtopia, their home base. The resources they’ve collected can be used to permanently level up their characters. This system makes the player’s crew better prepared to face more distant and dangerous waters.
A combination of unexpected expeditions and long-term progress is a hallmark of this game. Even if a single voyage doesn't go as planned, the player's progress carries over to the next voyage.
"Sea of Remnants" Is Coming to Multiple Platforms; CBT Begins in December 2026
Sea of Remnants is currently in development for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game will also be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android.
The Closed Beta Test is scheduled to begin in December 2026. Pre-registration has already opened on the official website Sea of Remnants.
