The Godzilla Festival begins on November 6

To celebrate Godzilla's arrival, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is hosting the Godzilla Festival. The event will take place from November 6, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. WIB through November 16, 2026, at 6:59 a.m. WIB.

In this festival, you’ll join one of three teams and compete to earn the most points. Each race has a different challenge—for example, performing the most Touch Boosts or completing other special objectives.

The Festival Points you collect can unlock exclusive in-game items, including new decals and horns. Exclusive festival gadgets will be available in an upcoming update. Other ways to earn festival rewards may also be introduced later.

Duel Mode is coming in the Ver. 2.0.0 update

The main feature of the Ver. 2.0.0 update is Duel Mode, a 1-on-1 match that can be played both online and offline. This mode has a special gauge that fills up over time, when you use items, or when you meet certain conditions.

Once the gauge is full, you can activate Duel Boost to get a speed boost. If used at the right moment, your opponent can be left far behind.

Here are the options available in Duel Mode:

  • Rival Duels (offline): Compete against CPU-controlled CrossOver racers. Defeat your rivals to unlock Bayonetta and earn unique rewards.
  • Duel Match (online): 1-on-1 races against players from around the world.
  • Best-of-10 Competitions (coming soon): A limited-time event to earn the most points over a set number of races. The rewards are Duel Medals, which can be exchanged for horns, auras, and other special rewards.
  • Friend Match: A two-player duel with friends or family. On the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, this mode can be played via Local Wireless.

Super Slot, Play Missions, and Shop

This update also introduces the Super Slot, the seventh Gadget slot, which makes the Gadget effects within it even more powerful. To use it, you must unlock the Grand Master Plate by completing at least 40 races. Players who have met this requirement can use the Super Slot immediately after installing the patch.

There are also Play Missions—missions you can complete by playing regularly. Complete them before the deadline to earn Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals. This feature requires an internet connection.

You can redeem Donpa Tickets and Duel Medals at the new in-game Shop. It features auras, horns, decals, characters, titles, and Jukebox songs, with the lineup updated regularly.

World Match, New Gadgets, and Collaboration Decals

Here are some additional features from the Ver. 2.0.0 update:

  • Free Match at World Match: Matches that don't affect your rank. The long-standing World Match experience is now available in Ranked Matches.
  • Rivals: Matchmaking now pairs you with Rivals of a similar level. Defeat them to earn Donpa Tickets.
  • 15 New Gadgets: including Boundless Charge, which maintains speed when passing through runoff areas with Boost Charge Level 4. This gadget can be obtained once the Gadget Plate reaches Grand Master Plate or higher.
  • 25 collaboration decals: including The k4sen, Sega UFO Catcher Online, UFO Pinched, Yoshinoya, Imuraya, and AUTOBACS. All of these decals can be used in the "Customize Machine" menu.

You can check the details of the balancing adjustments and other fixes in the patch notes at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds official website.
