Anime A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace is scheduled to air in October 2025. The series is about the daily life of a budding mangaka who struggles with deadlines, work pressure, and creative challenges inside a manga studio. A trailer and key visuals have been released as part of the initial promotional materials.
Story and Trailer of A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace
The story follows Nana Futami, a budding manga creator who begins publishing a shogi series titled Subaru e. In the production process, he is accompanied by a calm editor and reliable assistants.
But despite that, Futami faced challenges ranging from stress-induced stomachaches, storyboarding difficulties, and late-night habits filled with delusions and snack consumption.
The trailer shows footage of an unusual working environment in a mangaka studio, depicting Futami's daily life dealing with the pressures of the creative world.
The opening theme song will be performed by HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily, while the closing song is sung by Sizuk.

The anime is adapted from a manga written and illustrated by Kuzushiro. An early version of the manga was published as one-shot in Kodansha's Kiss magazine in February 2019, and then continued as a regular series on the Comic Days website from May 2019.
A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace belongs to the josei category and highlights the daily lives of mangaka from a realistic work perspective. The anime is set to premiere in October 2025 and is one of the titles in the anime lineup autumn coming.
