ado is the voice of Adidas Japan's campaign for Japan's 2026 national team uniforms through the song “Kira” and a new CM that goes live on April 9, 2026. The campaign puts the song, anime visuals, and Japan's new jersey in one launch ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Kira” was not positioned as just an accompaniment song. It was created as the official anthem for the JFA 2026 jersey, which unites players, fans, and supporters across Japan in the campaign towards the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Video “Go Beyond. Play Free.”
The main CM for this campaign uses the Japanese title “Motto, Saki e. Motto, Jiyu ni.” and the English title “Go Beyond. Play Free”. The airing starts nationwide in Japan on April 9, 2026.
In this CM, the setting is a fictionalized version of the FIFA World Cup finals. The players of the Japanese national team appear as characters in anime visuals and move against strong opponents from various countries. Fans and supporters are also featured in the video, so the attention doesn't just stop at the players on the pitch.
The song used in this CM is called “Kira” and is performed by ado. In the official explanation, the title “Kira” carries the idea of “star-woven silk”, which symbolizes the jersey and the hope of players, fans, and supporters moving together to transcend boundaries.
“Kira” scheduled for release on services stream on April 22, 2026. The platforms mentioned include Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and LINE MUSIC. After that, the music video is scheduled to air on April 27, 2026.
This release order makes “Kira” go in stages. CM unveiled the song and visuals first. After that, the full version for audio and music video followed in the latter half of April.
Ado And Tatsuya Kitani Behind The Song “Kira”
Ado is a 23-year-old Japanese singer who has been widely recognized since her major debut in 2020 with “Usseewa”. In this 2026 Japan national team uniform campaign, Ado was placed as a creative partner and became the singer for “Kira”.
Tatsuya Kitani is a singer and songwriter who has been actively uploading works since around 2014. His name is also known through “Ao no Sumika”, the song used as the opening theme of the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. For “Kira”, Tatsuya Kitani handles Words & Music as well as Arrangement.

The music credits for this song have also been revealed. The drums were played by Sho Sato. Other instruments were handled by Tatsuya Kitani. The mix was done by Norikatsu Teruuchi.
In his comments, Ado said that when he first heard the song, there were many parts of the lyrics that felt close to him. He also highlighted the use of the pronoun “ore”, which he said was a new challenge in the recording process.
Ado also explained that during the recording he tried to deliver strong and bold vocals. He mentions the shout in the chorus and the low notes in some parts of the song as points that bring passion, energy, struggle, and emotions close to the player and athlete.
On the other hand, Tatsuya Kitani said that from the beginning he wanted “Kira” to move with a rock sound that had strong guitars. He also arranged the chorus so that Ado's vocal explosion could appear at its most pronounced point.
After hearing the final result, Tatsuya Kitani said that Ado's vocal dynamics were in line with the image he had built up while writing the song.
