CyberAgent and CygamesPictures have revealed their latest project, Apocalypse Hotel, which is scheduled for release in April 2025. The first visuals and trailer have been released, providing a first glimpse into the story and unique atmosphere that the anime will present. Set in a hotel in Ginza, Tokyo, the anime presents a compelling story of robots and hope in a post-destruction world.
The Story Behind the Quiet Ginza Hotel
Apocalypse Hotel takes place in a world where humans have disappeared, and nature has begun to take over the city. Hotel Ginzarō remains in operation, led by Yachiyo, a robot hotel manager. Along with several other robots, Yachiyo continues to maintain and care for the hotel, even though no guests or owners have returned.

The main character Yachiyo will be voiced by Saho ShirasuYachiyo, a seiyuu who has been cast as a main character for the first time. Yachiyo's presence as a dedicated robot brings a strong emotional element to the story.
Experienced Production Crew Behind the Scenes
The anime is directed by Director Kana Shundo, who was previously involved in the production of Saga of Tanya the Evil and Princess Connect! Re:Dive. Izumi Takemoto, manga creator Teke Teke My Heart and Garden Shimai, was in charge of the character designs, while Natsuki Yokoyama adapted the designs for animation purposes.
The story writing was handled by Shigeru Murakoshi, who previously had success with projects such as Zombie Land Saga and Ninja Kamui. The music composition was done by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, who is known for his works in No Game No Life and Love Live!.
The anime's first trailer features the opening song "skirt" and the ending song "capsule," each performed by the famous singer, aiko. Both songs give an emotional depth to the anime's atmosphere.
