Continuation of the series anime Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! has received official confirmation. Through its official X account, it was announced that the second season of Hori's manga adaptation will begin airing in 2026.

Announcement Details

The airdate announcement was accompanied by the release of a special illustration. The visual was drawn by Nana Mori, who played an important role in the production of season two as Character Designer and Chief Animation Director.

About Azur Lane Franchise

Anime Azur Lane: Slow Ahead! is an adaptation of a four-panel manga (yonkoma) entitled Azur Lane Bisoku Zenshin! by Hori, which was first published in April 2018. The manga is part of the larger Azur Lane franchise, which centers on the game of smartphone for iOS and Android.

The original game was developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi, first released in China in May 2017, then in Japan in September 2017, and followed by a global English version in May 2019. In addition to the series Slow Ahead!The Azur Lane franchise has also been adapted into a major television anime in 2019 and an Original Video Anime (OVA) for the manga. spin-off titled Azur Lane Queen's Orders.
