The latest news from the world of Indonesian esports comes from Team RRQ, which was once again selected as part of the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) Club Partner Program 2026. This is the second year in a row that RRQ has been included in the program after previously being selected in 2025.
The program is a global initiative that aims to support the growth of esports organizations through funding, strategic direction, and international exposure. In the 2026 edition, only 40 esports organizations from various countries were selected, and RRQ was one of the three Southeast Asian representatives on the list.
RRQ Continues Journey in EWCF Global Program
RRQ's participation for the second time shows that Team RRQ continues to develop itself as an esports organization. In recent years, RRQ has been actively expanding its divisions, strengthening the organization's identity, and maintaining relationships with the community through various activations for fans.
Through the Club Partner Program 2026, selected clubs have the opportunity to receive up to $1 million in funding to grow the club. Additional opportunities are also available through various campaigns and activities leading up to and during Esports World Cup 2026. This support is intended to help organizations develop their brand, support players, and expand fan engagement.
However, participation in the program does not automatically grant a slot in the 2026 Esports World Cup. All clubs must still go through the official qualification pathway according to game that they participate in.
Program Support Not Only for Organizations, but also Communities
In addition to focusing on organizational development, EWCF also takes an approach that places the community as an important part of the esports ecosystem. One initiative that is making a comeback is the Super Fan Program, which in 2025 brought nearly 2,000 fans to Riyadh to support teams in person.
In 2026, the program is set to return with a collaborative campaign that will give clubs more space to appreciate their fans. This approach shows that the relationship between organizations and communities remains important in the development of esports globally.
Andrian Pauline (Pak AP), CEO of Team RRQ, mentioned, “Being part of the EWCF Club Partner Program in 2026 is not just a matter of validating RRQ's influence, but also a reflection of how far the esports community in Indonesia has come. This achievement does not only belong to RRQ, but also to the entire RRQ Kingdom and Indonesia.”
Team RRQ Highlights the Community's Role in the Organization's Journey
Mr. AP also emphasized that the community is an important foundation in the organization's journey. According to him, Team RRQ being selected again in this program is proof that what is built with the community has a real impact, and RRQ will give its best again this year.
He also highlighted the benefits of the program in the previous year, both from a competitive standpoint and brand development. The opportunity to perform on the global stage was an invaluable moment for RRQ. On the other hand, participation in the program also opened up opportunities to bring various unique and memorable experiences to the community in Indonesia, such as Superfans Tickets, RRQ Van tours to a number of cities, and documentary watch parties.
