Golden Joystick Awards 2024 is back, giving gamers the chance to decide the winners of the best categories in gaming. The event, which will take place on November 21, 2024 at De Vere Connaught Rooms, London, is open for voting until November 1, 2024.
What is the Golden Joystick Awards?
Golden Joystick Awards is one of the highest honors in the gaming industry, first held in 1983. The award is unique in that the winner is determined by gamers around the world through online voting.
Nomination Process and New Categories
Every year, the judging at Golden Joystick Awards is done carefully. At Golden Joystick Awards 2024A panel of judges consisting of editors from media outlets such as PC Gamer, GamesRadar, and Retro Gamer, as well as industry experts, compiled a list of nominees from various game genres.
This year, several new categories were added, such as Best Indie Game - Self Published for indie developers, as well as a category breakdown Best Audio to Best Soundtrack and Best Audio Design to appreciate voting more specifically.
Daniel Dawkins, content director for games, video and digital events, explained that "2023 is one of the best years in video game history, with Baldur's Gate 3 and Larian Studios won a record seven trophies at Golden Joystick Awards last year. 2024 was a challenging year for the gaming industry in many ways, but the diversity and sheer number of releases over the past 12 months has made the list of nominees Golden Joystick Awards this time around has been one of the hardest-and most interesting-to compile. Outside of the big games we're already familiar with, there are big surprises like Palworld, Helldivers 2, and Balatro that emerged and stole the show this year."

You can vote for the winner at Golden Joystick Awards 2024 by voting through the website GamesRadar. Voting is open until November 1, 2024 at 7pm EDT (11pm GMT). Simply vote for your favorite game and make sure your vote counts.
