Indian developer Studio Noori announced Farsight, a liminal-themed first-person psychological horror game. Quoted from Gematsu, the game will launch for PC via Steam on Q3 2026, followed by an unspecified console version at a later date after the PC version has stabilized.
Unique Premise
Farsight follows a 12-year-old boy who is undergoing an ordinary eye exam. However, the examination takes them to a very disturbing place - a liminal space that feels both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, filled with things that shouldn't be there.
The game is set at CWell Eyecare, a clinic established since 1987, which claims to specialize in pediatric vision care, refractive correction, and “longitudinal observation.” Their creepy tagline: “Where everyone is seen.”

Key Gameplay Features
Farsight offers some interesting and innovative gameplay mechanics for the horror genre:
- FUNTIME-GO: A 1990s-style handheld console that can take low-resolution photos to reveal things the ordinary eye can't see - and things you might be better off never seeing at all.
- Walkie-talkie: The only friend who talks to you - until you hear another whisper trying to reach you from the darkness.
- Binoculars: To observe threats from a safe distance without having to get close and take risks
- Keyholes and peepholes: To peek and understand the surroundings before stepping into the next room
Atmosphere and Tone
The game combines the aesthetics of liminal spaces - spaces that feel familiar but shouldn't exist - with elements of psychological horror that focus on traumatic and disturbing childhood experiences. Indian developer Studio Noori brings a fresh and different perspective to the horror genre, which is often dominated by Western and Japanese developers.
The game is one of the titles that has caught the attention of the global gaming community. More information will be announced by the developer in the near future as the project progresses and approaches its targeted release date.
