For all you Pokémon TCG trainers, get ready! On May 24-25, 2025, AKG Entertainment will be hosting Master Ball League 2025 at Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). This event is the culmination of a series of Pokémon Asia Championship Series 2024-2025 and became the biggest event for Pokémon TCG Trainers in Indonesia.
What is Master Ball League?
The Master Ball League is a large-scale tournament that replaces the Indonesia Championships. This year, the tournament will be participated by 1,260 participants which fall into three categories namely:
- Junior: 144 participants
- Senior: 120 participants
- Masters: 996 participants
According to Christina Lim, General Manager of AKG Entertainment"This year, the number of invitations to the 2025 Pokémon World Championships from Indonesia has increased to 20, an increase of eight from the previous year. This makes the Master Ball League competition even more intense and exciting. In addition to counting League Points (PL), top finishers in this tournament will receive an invitation and travel award to The Pokémon Championships in Anaheim, California, USA, next August."
New Format and Attractive Prizes
Master Ball League 2025 will implement a new tournament format, including a standard rotation that requires players to use the latest edition of cards, making cards from older sets unusable. This aims to provide a fresher and more competitive gaming experience, especially for new players.
In addition to the main tournament, visitors to this event can also enjoy various side events. In these side events, visitors can collect points and win prizes too! The side events in question, such as:
- 3v3 Team Battle
- Asia Wide Regulation Match
- Pokémon TCG Pocket Battle Party with Versus mode
