This information was revealed through a special live broadcast of the MF Bunko J Fall School Festival 2025, giving a more complete picture of the anime adaptation of light novel by VTuber Natsume.
The Story of A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans
The story centers on Rei Hitoma, a man who recognizes himself as a misanthrope or a man-hater due to his traumatized past. He accepted a job as a teacher in a mountainous area in the hope of finding a tranquil environment.
However, he soon found out that the school was a specialized institution for young people. demi-human-beings such as mermaids, werewolves, and other non-human races-who want to learn to become fully human.
Rei's job is to teach her students about the intricacies of human life. Through her interactions with these diverse students, Rei may begin to relearn the lessons of humanity.
This is not an isekai or reincarnation story, but rather the story of a teacher at a unique school and her students struggling to understand what it means to be human.

This anime is adapted from the series light novel written by Natsume with illustrations by Sai Izumi, whose first volume was launched in February 2022.
