The anime industry is getting another interesting title from the genre rom-com that is ready to entertain the audience. The manga is titled Kakunaru Ue wa, or better known internationally by the title Now That We Draw, has officially gotten the green light to be adapted into a series. anime Television.

The main premise of the series takes on a classic theme opposites attract or two polar opposites pulling at each other, but with a unique twist on the world of the creative industry. The story centers on two high school students who both have high aspirations to be mangaka professional.
You will be introduced to Yuuki Uehara, an awkward male student and nerd. He created the character heroine A romantic comedy that is considered perfect: shy, innocent, and very chaste. However, her dreams were shattered when the editor of her dream publisher coldly rejected her work. The editor thought Uehara's story was too clichéd and lacked realism.
The rejection left Uehara desperate, until he finally interacted with Niina Miyamoto. Miyamoto is a classmate who is beautiful, popular, and a stark contrast to Uehara. As it turns out, Miyamoto is also an aspiring mangaka who suffered a similar fate; his work was rejected for the same reason.
In order to have a real romantic experience for their manga research, Miyamoto proposes that they have a fake relationship. The problem is, Miyamoto's real personality is very far from the character's heroine Uehara's idealized creation, and vice versa. This fake relationship based on professional interests triggers various intriguing comedic disasters.

This anime is adapted from a manga by Kyu Takahata as the story writer and Yuwji Kaba as the illustrator. This series has been serialized in the manga magazine seinen Hakusensha's Young Animal since February 2023. To date, the manga has had 5 volumes on the market.
In celebration of the anime's announcement, Yuwji Kaba also released special illustrations depicting the characters' excitement.
