The latest information for Ranma 1/2 Season 2 has been released. Key visuals and a new trailer were officially announced, giving an idea of the continuation of the series animated by Studio MAPPA. Anime is confirmed to start airing globally via Netflix on October 4.
The Unforgettable Story of Ranma 1/2
Ranma 1/2's story centers on martial artist a young man named Ranma Saotome. During a training trip in China, he and his father, Genma, accidentally fell into a cursed spring. As a result, Ranma would turn into a girl whenever splashed by the cold water, while his father would turn into a panda.
Things get complicated when they arrive at the Tendo family dojo. Soun Tendo, Genma's old friend, has arranged a match between Ranma and one of his three daughters, Akane Tendo. The series follows the dynamics of their relationship colored by comedy, martial arts combat, and the various quirky characters that appear around them.

About Ranma 1/2
Ranma 1/2 is the third work of mangaka Rumiko Takahashi, after URUSEI YATSURA and Maison Ikkoku. The manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from August 1987 to March 1996, which was later compiled into 38 volumes.
Prior to MAPPA's latest project, the Ranma 1/2 manga was adapted into two anime series by Studio Deen, namely Ranma 1/2 and Ranma 1/2 Nettohen. Both series ran from 1989 to 1992 with a total of 161 episodes. The franchise has also had 12 OVAs, three movies, and special shows live-action in 2011.
