Fast and Stable Performance
The Zephyrus G14 (2024) is a gaming laptop, which means it needs to be fast enough to play all the AAA games available on the PC platform today. Based on its specifications, the Zephyrus G14 (2024) can certainly fulfill that requirement. But the next question is whether its performance is stable enough to play games for a long time? The short answer is yes.
Here are the test results using 3DMark Stress Test in Speed Way mode repeated 50 times. From the graph below, it can be seen that the operational temperature of Zephyrus G14 (2024) is still very well maintained, which is averaged at 71⁰ C for CPU and 82⁰ C for GPU. The stable performance produced by the Zephyrus G14 (2024) is partly thanks to the use of Tri-Fan Technology in its cooling system. The technology utilizes three fans to cool the various main components in the Zephyrus G14 (2024) so that the temperature can be maintained and the performance remains stable.
What about its gaming performance? Of course, it's still fast. When tested using three AAA games Shadow of The Tomb Raider, Cyberpunk 2077, and Horizon: Zero Dawn at FHD+ (1920×1200) resolution, the highest graphics settings, and without the help of DLSS or FSR, the Zephyrus G14 (2024), which is equipped with an AMD Ryzen™ 9 8945HS processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, and 16GB of memory, can produce quite high framerates.
This is also reflected in tests using the 3Dmark graphics benchmark application. From the test, it can be seen that the resulting score is quite good for a laptop with a super compact size like the Zephyrus G14 (2024).
What's interesting is that the Zephyrus G14 (2024) comes with NVIDIA Studio Driver instead of Game Ready Driver. This means that ASUS really wants to target creative workers who need a super-compact yet powerful laptop on all sides through this Zephyrus G14 (2024). The performance of the Zephyrus G14 (2024) in terms of content creation is even proven to produce excellent scores on benchmarks using UL Procyon in Photo Editing and Video Editing modes.

Unfortunately, the memory in this gaming laptop is not expandable so we recommend you to purchase the 32GB version when it becomes available (ASUS Indonesia confirmed the 32GB variant will be available in the second quarter of 2024). Also, the price tag of this laptop is quite expensive even though the extra features and goodies offered are quite interesting and some of them can't be found on other gaming laptops.
