AnimeJapan 2025 officially kicked off and presented various animation projects with live announcements from the staff and voice actors. Here's a full recap of all the announcements and highlights of the first day.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus
Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus released a new trailer and announced an airdate of July 2025. Konomi Kohara and Manaka Iwami join as additional voice actors. The opening song will be performed by Conton Candy. Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, Sora Amamiya, Aya Yamane, Reina Ueda, Konomi Kohara, and Manaka Iwami were present on the event stage.
Netflix Stage
Yu Kobayashi, Chikahiro Kobayashi, and Chiaki Kobayashi were present on stage. It was announced that Fire Force Season 3 will air on April 5. A trailer featuring the 2025 anime was also released.
Moonrise
Moonrise released a new trailer, key visuals, and announced 13 additional voice actors on the Netflix Stage. The list of new voice actors includes: Kosuke Takaguchi as Osma, Satoshi Yamaguchi as Duan, Kori Arisa as Inanna Zinger, Yuka Terasaki as Zowan, Yu Kobayashi as Eric Baker, Katsunori Okai as Georg Landry, Misaki Yamada as Rhys Rochelle, Aina The End as Mary, Masaki Aizawa as Bob Skylum, Takehito Koyasu as Wise Crowne, Mie Sonozaki as Dr. Salamandra. Salamandra, Arisa Sekine as Windy Sylph, and Shin Aomori as Novice Harbinger.
BLUE LOCK
BLUE LOCK features new exhibition visuals and a trailer focusing on the character Michael Kaiser, voiced by Mamoru Miyano. These visuals were released as part of the welcome event for Blue Lock Exhibition: EGOIST EXHIBITION the animation which is scheduled to take place this spring in Tokyo, followed by Osaka. Kazuki Ura, Koki Uchiyama, Tasuku Kaito, and Takahiro Sakurai were present on stage to deliver this information in person.
Sorairo Utility
Miyu Takagi, Ayasa Goto, and Yurina Amami performed at the Pony Canyon stage booth wearing their character costumes. The stage was themed "Pony Canyon Bar," and they played darts.
Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers released a new visual teaser for the anime sequel The Battle of Three Deities.Yuki Shin (Takemichi Hanagaki), Yu Hayashi (Manjiro Sano), Masaya Fukunishi (Ken Ryuguji), and Sho Karino(Chifuyu Matsuno) attended the event.
New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt released a trailer featuring the characters Polyester and Polyurethane, voiced by Junya Enoki and Yuto Uemura. Arisa Ogasawara, Mariya Ise, Hiroyuki Yoshino, and Hiromi Wakabayashi appeared on stage, and were joined by Junya Enoki and Yuto Uemura.
Demon Slayer
Natsuki Hanae, Hiro Shimono, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Reina Ueda, and Nobuhiko Okamoto attended the event. Genya trailer for Hinokami Chronicles 2 shown.
Turkey!
Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinose, Ayasa Ito, and Yuki Tenma were present at the Pony Canyon booth. They discussed the released visuals and their characters, and played darts.
Lycoris Recoil
Lycoris Recoil: Friends are thieves of time features six key visuals for each episode. The first part is titled "Take it Easy" will be directed by Shingo Adachi. The short series will begin airing on April 16, with six episodes released every Wednesday at 21:00 JST on various services including ABEMA. Chika Anzai and Shion Wakayama delivered this information on stage.
The Summer Hikaru Died
The Summer Hikaru Died released the main trailer and three additional voice actors: Yumiri Hanamori, Wakana Kowaka, and Chikahiro Kobayashi. They join Chiaki Kobayashi and Shuichiro Umeda in the show. TOOBOE will perform the closing song titled "Anata wa Kaibutsu (You are a Monster)."
Clevatess
Clevatess showcased new trailers and visuals at AnimeJapan 2025, and announced seven additional voice actors.
Gnosia
Gnosia's main voice actors Ikumi Hasegawa, Chika Anzai, Akari Kito, Hiroki Nanami, and Asami Seto attended the event and announced the staff involved.
Kaiju No. 8
Kaiju No. 8 released a new trailer for the second season. Two character visuals were also shown for the strongest members of the Defense Force.
Once Upon a Witch's Death
Once Upon a Witch's Death released the opening theme song video without credits. Yoshino Aoyama, Hina Youmiya, and Miharu Hanai were present to share additional information about the series.
Aldonoah Zero
Natsuki Hanae and Kensho Ono attended the Aldonoah Zero anime stage event.
I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince
I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Season 2 released a new trailer. Makoto Koichi, Manaka Iwami, and Minami Tsuda were present on the event stage.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes
Anime My Hero Academia: Vigilantes The stage was hosted by Junichi Suwabe with guests Shuichiro Umeda, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Yasuhiro Mamiya. It was announced that the yutori band will perform the closing song titled "Speed!". Betten Court mangaka of the series also released new illustrations.
Maebashi Witches
Maebashi Witches announced three additional voice actors: Yu Serizawa as Eiko Zen, Nao Toyama as Rinko Mitsuba, and Akari Kito as Yua Hosaka. Their character designs were also shown.

Please Put Them On, Takamine-san released a new visual.
Oshi no Ko
Oshi no Ko Season 3 released a visual teaser and trailer featuring Aqua and Ruby Hoshino. Yurie Igoma, Takeo Otsuka, Megumi Han, Manaka Iwami, and Rumi Okubo were present on stage. Mascot Ai Hoshino also appeared with a gold play button to celebrate reaching 1 million subscribers on the anime official YouTube channel.

A Tale of the Secret Saint released the first visual teaser.
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) released a new trailer. The main cast attending AnimeJapan 2025: Honoka Inoue as Kaoruko Waguri, Yoshinori Nakayama as Rintaro Tsumugi, Kikunosuke Toya as Shohei Usami, Koki Uchiyama as Saku Natsusawa, Hiiro Ishibashi as Ayato Yorita and Aya Yamane as Subaru Hoshina.
To Be Hero X
TO BE HERO X released the main trailer featuring all the main characters and introduced the ending song performed by SennaRin.

Food For Soul
Anime Food For Soul features a new trailer featuring a cover song. The song is titled "Miso Soup and Butter" and performed by Reira Ushio.
My Hero Academia Final Season Plus Ultra Stage
My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON (Season 8) released the first anime trailer and new key art. Daiki Yamashita, Kenta Miyake, Koki Uchiyama, Hiroshi Kamiya, and Akio Otsuka attended the special stage event.
Rent a Girlfriend
Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 released the visuals and teaser trailer for Mami Nanami. The voice actors present at the special event were Shun Horie, Sora Amamiya, and Nao Toyama.
A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof
A Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof announced three new voice actors: Yui Ogura as Aoko Yoshida, M・A・O as Fumiko Kusagakure, and Kyoka Moriya as Michiru Kusagakure.
Shoshimin: How to Become Ordinary
Shuichiro Umeda, Hina Youmiya, and Makoto Furukawa as the main voice actors were present on the event stage. During the session, it was announced that the third collaboration with Oshi Tabi will run from April 25 to September 30.
TOUGEN ANKI: Legend of the Cursed Blood
Kazuki Ura, Kotaro Nishiyama, Aimi, and Kaito Miura were present on stage. TOUGEN ANKI: Legend of the Cursed Blood released the second key visual and trailer featuring the opening song "OVERNIGHT" performed by THE ORAL CIGARETTES. Ryohei Kimura was announced as the voice of Kyoya Oiranzaka.
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle released the first ultra teaser trailer. Five main voice actors were present on stage: Shogo Sakata, Manaka Iwami, Ikumi Hasegawa, Chika Anzai, and Rumi Okubo.
Wind Breaker
WIND BREAKER Season 2 announced two new voice actors: Soma Saito as Seiryu Sakaki and Kazuki Ura as Uryu Sakaki. An announcement trailer was also released.
Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games
The main voice actors Ikumi Hasegawa and Kana Ichinose were present on stage. This anime will be present in the exhibition "EVO Japan 2025" on May 9th.
Kowloon Generic Romance
Kowloon Generic Romance confirmed as a complete adaptation of 13 episodes. Preview images of the first episode have also been released.
Secrets of the Silent Witch
Secrets of the Silent Witch released a new trailer, announced additional voice actors, and informed the air date of July 2025. Shogo Sakata and Atsumi Tanezaki joined as voice actors. Saya Aizawa, Hitomi Nabatame, and Junichi Suwabe appeared on stage and were later joined by Shogo Sakata.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too
The anime announced a TV anime special (TVSP) and released visual teasers and trailers.
Kamitsubaki City Under Construction
Kamitsubaki City Under Construction released the main visuals and trailer. The anime will air from July 3, 2025.
SAKAMOTO DAYS
SAKAMOTO DAYS released new key visuals for Part 2, which will air in July 2025. Koki Uchiyama was announced as the voice of Gaku. Tomokazu Sugita, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Natsuki Hanae, and Ayane Sakura were present on stage. They talked about the special ending video that focuses on the Order members.
Rurouni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin announced season 3 and released a special trailer. Soma Saito, Rie Takahashi, Taku Yashiro, Yuma Uchida, Hino Satoshi, and Makoto Furukawa attended the stage event.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation
Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation released the first teaser trailer. Yohei Azakami was announced to join as Enman Yuuken.
One Piece
ONE PIECE announced the opening and ending artists for the Egghead Part 2 arc. GRe4N BOYZ will perform the opening song, and muque will perform the ending song. The anime will air again on April 5 with the Egghead recap episode + episode 1123 in Japan, and episode 1124 is scheduled to air on April 6. A special collaboration with soccer club Borussia Dortmund was also announced. Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Kappei Yamaguchi, and Subaru Kimura performed a skit at the beginning of the stage.
Koisuru ONE PIECE
Adaptation anime short of Koisuru ONE PIECE (ONE PIECE in Love), a romantic comedy parody spin-off of Eiichiro Oda's manga, was also announced. This mini-series is part of the special promotional campaign ahead of the re-run of anime main ONE PIECE and the Egghead arc. The voice cast includes Ryosuke Kanemoto as Luffy Yamamoto, Ayane Sakura as Nami Koyama, and Yuichi Nakamura as Usopp Nakatsugawa.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance released a visual teaser and announced the main staff lineup. Masaki Tsuzuki, one of the series co-creators, serves as the original story creator and scriptwriter. Takayuki Hamana returns as director after previously directing Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection and Detonation, with production by Seven Arcs studio. Issei Aragaki will fill the role of character designer and chief animation director, while Shuichi Kawakami is credited for original character designs.
Love Live! Sunshine!!
Anju Inami and Rikako Aida were joined by Nippon Broadcasting System Inc. broadcaster Yoshida and Gugenka Inc. CEO Masafumi Mikami. They introduced the 3D digital figure "Holomodel" featuring characters from Love Live! Sunshine!!.

Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits released a new visual teaser and introduced the main voice actors and staff involved. Seria Fukagawa voices Ellen, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Rovel, and Mai Nakahara as Origin.
Princession Orchestra
Original anime Princession Orchestra (Princess Session Orchestra) unveiled the third trailer and announced the latest voice cast lineup: Satoshi Hino as Seishiro Sorano, Yoshino Nanjo as Yoko Sorano, Yuki Wakai as Riku Sorano, and Hikari Aimura as Natsu Hinomoto.
Summer Pockets
Summer Pockets was announced to be adapted into a manga by wogura and serialized on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website. A special illustration featuring Shiroha Naruse was also shown along with a message from the mangaka on the official account of X/Twitter them.
Yamato Starblazers
Keiko Han, Megumi Han, Harutoshi Fukui, Ryusuke Hikawa, and Hisanori Yoshida performing at the 50th anniversary event Yamato Starblazers. They reminisce about the history of the series, from the early airings to the latest installment of the remake series titled Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199.
