Adaptation anime for the manga series slice-of-life Mitsuru Hattori's Wash It All Away has been officially announced. This announcement was accompanied by the release of a teaser trailer and confirmed a January 2026 premiere date.

Wash It All Away Story and Teaser Trailer

Happinet has released teaser trailer official for anime Wash It All Away, which also confirms the premiere schedule. The promotional video showcases the visuals and atmosphere of the series, as well as the voice of the main character, Wakana Kinme, for the first time.

Story Wash It All Away (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka) centers on Wakana Kinme, a woman who runs the laundry business "Kinme Cleaning" in the seaside resort town of Atami. Over the course of two years, she builds a fulfilling life by making friends with the locals, even though she has no memory of her past.

Through her services, Wakana not only cleans clothes, but also preserves the precious memories attached to her customers' belongings.

About the Original Wash It All Away Manga

The anime is adapted from a manga written and illustrated by Mitsuru Hattori. Manga Wash It All Away (Kirei ni Shite Moraemasu ka) was serialized in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine from July 2017 to June 2023, and has been published in 10 compilation volumes. After the main serialization ended, Hattori also released several side story chapters.

Mitsuru Hattori is also known for his other works, including the manga Sankarea, which was adapted into an anime in 2012.

He is also the creator behind Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho and became the illustrator for the manga adaptation of the novel Imperfect Shojo. Confirmation of this adaptation makes Wash It All Away Hattori's latest work to be elevated to the anime format.
