Quoted from Gematsu, ARIKA announces that Tetris the Grand Master 4: Absolute Eye will be present at Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop on June 4 with price 2,800 yen. This game was previously available on PC via Steam since April 2025, and now comes in a portable format for the first time.
The Long History of Tetris the Grand Master Series
Series Tetris the Grand Master first came to arcades in August 1998 and immediately found a place in the hearts of Tetris fans who wanted a deeper challenge. The series was designed specifically for gamers who wanted to master a complex and rewarding gameplay system, far beyond the usual Tetris.
After the first series, comes Tetris the Absolute the Grand Master 2 in the year 2000, then Tetris the Grand Master 3: Terror Instinct at 2005. After a long pause 20 years, the series is back with Tetris the Grand Master 4: Absolute Eye which was released on Steam in April 2025. Now the Switch version brings the game to even more players.

Differences between Switch and Steam Versions
The Nintendo Switch version has some differences compared to the Steam version that you need to know before you buy:
- Difficulty level MASTER mode has been adjusted, so some title names have changed
- Difficulty level SHIRANUI mode also adapted to similar title name changes
- CPU Level 0 that were in the Steam version of SHIRANUI mode have been removed as per AI learning policy.
- Replay data has a storage limit of about 16MB (equivalent to several hundred replays depending on mode)
- Players can now delete replays directly from the menu more easily
- Only support one USB keyboard connection type (Steam supports up to six types)
