Ragnarok Origin Classic has finally officially released its latest expansion update, titled “Shadows over Glast Heim,” on July 9, 2026. Through this major update, Gravity Game Vision invites players to once again explore one of the most iconic locations in the world of Ragnarok—Glast Heim—complete with a new story, more challenging dungeons, and new jobs Gunslinger, new servers, and a series of events with exciting prizes.
This update also reinforces Ragnarok Origin Classic’s direction as an MMORPG that aims to deliver a more pure, competitive, and fair through the Monthly Pass system or monthly subscription.
Glast Heim Opens, a New Adventure Begins

For longtime Ragnarok players, the name Glast Heim is certainly more than just an ordinary map. This area is known as the majestic ruins of a former royal palace, home to many dark tales, powerful monsters, and mysteries from the past.
In the "Shadows over Glast Heim" expansion, players will be drawn into a new main storyline centered on the downfall of the Knights in the past. Through this journey, adventurers can uncover secrets that have been buried for thousands of years beneath the ruins of Glast Heim.
In addition to the main quest, this new map also features various hidden Adventure Quests to explore. Players who successfully complete the exploration challenges will receive exclusive rewards, including commemorative headwear and special Glast Heim-themed furniture to commemorate their journey through this legendary area.
New Gunslinger Class Now Available—Now Features a Melee Build
One of the most anticipated features in the update Ragnarok Origin Classic This time, there's a new job opening Gunslinger. However, the Gunslinger in this version doesn’t just rely on the long-range fighting style we’ve come to know.
Gravity Game Vision has rolled out a major update to the Gunslinger’s combat system, including the introduction of a new melee build. With this addition, the Gunslinger can now be played more aggressively using fast, precise close-range combos that deal high burst damage.
These changes make the Gunslinger feel more flexible, especially for players who prefer a dynamic playstyle in PvP. The introduction of melee builds is also expected to shift the combat meta, as the Gunslinger is no longer limited to dealing damage from a distance.
Interestingly, the developers note that the Gunslinger’s design remains true to the core philosophy of Ragnarok Origin Classic, which is to provide fair and accessible gameplay. All builds are designed with relatively low progression thresholds, so casual players can still enjoy this class without feeling left far behind by hardcore players.
The Draconic Cataclysm Team Dungeon Is Now Open
In addition to Glast Heim and Gunslinger, the Shadows over Glast Heim update also introduces a new high-level Team Dungeon called Draconic Cataclysm.
This dungeon is designed for players who want to test their characters' strength, team coordination, and party strategies. As high-level content, Draconic Cataclysm is likely to become one of the main destinations for players who have reached the endgame and are looking for new challenges.
With the addition of this dungeon, PVE activities in Ragnarok Origin Classic have become even more intense, especially for guilds and parties looking to hunt for rewards that have value higher.
Glast Heim's New Server Offers Many Benefits

Along with the release of a new update on July 9, Ragnarok Origin Classic also launched a new server called Glast Heim. This server offers a variety of special benefits designed to help both new players and veteran players who want to start their adventure over from the beginning.
Players on the new server will receive faster progression support, including various login rewards and special events. One of the highlights is a community reward that will be unlocked once the total number of players who have reached the Max Level across the entire server surpasses 30,000.
If that goal is reached, all players will have the chance to get the popular Spooky Nyan Suit set for free. In addition, logging in daily will also grant various exciting rewards such as Violet Oath Costume Box, MVP Card: Moonlight Flower, Angeling Illusion Card, and other high-value items.
But that’s not all—a guild growth acceleration system has also been implemented so that guilds on the new server can grow faster and immediately compete in various competitive content.
3x Event Card Drop Rate and Other Rewards
To celebrate the release of the Shadows over Glast Heim expansion, the official team is also hosting a variety of limited-time events. One of the most eye-catching events is, of course, the Card Drop Rate x3.
Events like this are usually highly anticipated by Ragnarok players, given that monster cards are a key element in strengthening characters. With the increased drop rate, players have a better chance of obtaining the cards they’re after, whether for their personal builds or for in-game trading.
In addition to the 3x Card Drop Rate event, there are still various other surprise events coming up during the Glast Heim update celebration period.
Tyr Cup Global Set to Kick Off with a $1 Million Prize Pool

In addition to PVE content and character updates, Ragnarok Origin Classic also has a major announcement in store for the PVP community. Following the Tyr Cup Grand Final, which was held in person in Bangkok on July 11, the official team will take this competition to the next level with the Tyr Cup Global.
This global tournament will be held simultaneously on the ROOC Asia and ROOC America servers, with a total cash prize pool of 1 million USD. Guilds from various countries will battle it out on an international PvP stage to prove who deserves to be at the top.
In addition to cash prizes, the Tyr Cup Global will also feature a variety of exclusive prizes as symbols of glory for the best guilds and legendary adventurers.
To celebrate this competitive moment, all servers will also host a Champions’ Night on July 12, inviting all players to join in celebrating the crowning of the Tyr Cup champion.
This Glast Heim update further strengthens the game’s identity. From the Gunslinger job—which features a more player-friendly progression system—to endgame dungeons, new servers with significant benefits, and the Tyr Cup Global with a competition system that’s claimed to be fair, everything is designed to provide a competitive gaming experience without feeling too overwhelming for new players.
With the arrival of Glast Heim, Gunslinger, new dungeons, new servers, and preparations for the Global Tyr Cup, this update is arguably one of the most important moments for Ragnarok Origin Classic in 2026. For both longtime players and newcomers, this is the perfect time to log back in and embark on a new adventure.
