Persona 3 officially celebrated its 20th anniversary with new commemorative artwork and a special music video titled “Persona 3: 20th Anniversary Remix.” SEGA and ATLUS also noted that Persona 3 Reload has surpassed 3 million units in sales worldwide.
Anniversary Artwork by Shigenori Soejima
SEGA and ATLUS have released new commemorative artwork created by Shigenori Soejima, the original character designer for Persona 3.
This artwork features the main characters from Persona 3 along with a message celebrating its 20th anniversary. Soejima’s illustration is a central part of this celebration because his character designs have been deeply intertwined with the identity of Persona 3 since its initial release.
Persona 3 is known as an RPG that combines school life, social relationships, dungeon exploration, and turn-based combat. These elements have since become an integral part of the modern direction of the Persona franchise.

Persona 3: 20th Anniversary Remix Features Chill Music and Retro Pixel Art
In addition to the artwork, SEGA and ATLUS have also released the music video for “Persona 3: 20th Anniversary Remix.” The video features a new musical arrangement by VaVa, a rapper, DJ, and producer from the hip-hop crew CreativeDrugStore.
VaVa previously performed as a DJ at the PERSONA LIVE TOUR 2024 -more ahead-. For this anniversary project, she arranged the music from Persona 3 with a more laid-back vibe. Lotus Juice also recorded new vocals specifically for the remix.
VaVa said she felt honored to work on a project with ATLUS. She explained that the music from Persona 3 was made to sound more laid-back for this remix, and that she herself often listens to the arrangement in the mornings.
Visually, this music video features retro pixel art by Motocross Saito, who served as pixel artist and art director. He is known for his pixel art that captures the atmosphere of everyday life and urban culture.
Motocross Saito said that being involved in the 20th anniversary of Persona 3 was a great honor. He said the team worked hard to create scenes that would make fans feel as if they were in the world of Persona 3. He was also happy to have the opportunity to draw Koromaru, a character he really likes.
Arito Chida served as director for this music video. He said that after playing the game and discussing it with the ATLUS team, he could sense the care, attention to detail, and passion that went into Persona 3.
