Preseed Japan Corporation has announced special-edition earbuds from the AVIOT brand featuring the theme EVANGELION, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the anime series.
These earbuds, called the TE-V1R-EVA, feature more than 160 voice lines from nine characters, designs adorned with the Spear of Longinus and the Spear of Cassius, and sound tuning handled directly by singer Yoko Takahashi.
The Proven TE-V1R Platform
The TE-V1R-EVA is an evolution of the TE-V1R, the flagship model in AVIOT’s V series, which had sold approximately 190,000 units as of the end of April 2025. The TE-V1R features a number of high-end audio capabilities, including Adaptive Hybrid Noise Canceling, which automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels based on the surrounding environment; Hybrid Dual Driver 2.0; support for the LDAC codec for high-resolution audio; and wireless charging.
These earbuds offer up to 19 hours of playback time, or up to 62 hours when combined with the charging case.
Exclusive Designs and Illustrations
In terms of design, the TE-V1R-EVA features a combination of white and silver, with the Spear of Longinus and Spear of Cassius motifs adorning the earbuds. The charging case features an EVANGELION Unit-01-style logo.

The packaging is just as special. AVIOT has included a new illustration created specifically for this collaboration, featuring Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley wearing plug suits while using the earbuds. This illustration is exclusive and can only be found in the collaboration edition.

160 Voice Lines from Nine Characters
One of the TE-V1R-EVA’s main attractions is its new collection of voice lines. These earbuds feature more than 160 voice lines used for voice guidance—such as power and connection status notifications—plus a “random voice” feature that plays random quotes from anime.
Users can switch between nine character modes via the dedicated AVIOT app: Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Mari Makinami Illustrious, Misato Katsuragi, Ritsuko Akagi, Kaworu Nagisa, Gendo Ikari, and Ryoji Kaji.

You can check the voice lines for each character directly at official product page.
Yoko Takahashi Gets Directly Involved in Sound Tuning
The sound tuning for TE-V1R-EVA was handled by Yoko Takahashi, the singer behind the theme song “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” from Neon Genesis Evangelion and “Soul’s Refrain” from Evangelion: Death & Rebirth. In a promotional interview, Takahashi mentioned that the tuning focused on producing clear, youthful-sounding vocals, given that Shinji, Rei, and Asuka are portrayed as 14-year-olds in the story. At the same time, he and the AVIOT engineering team also enhanced the bass to ensure the songs retain their grand, epic feel.
This sound tuning initiative also coincides with Takahashi’s EVANGELION 30th-anniversary album, “EVANGELION FLASHBACK,” which was released on October 29, 2025.
