Kojima Productions officially announced the global tour titled Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2 to welcome the launch of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. The game will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach brings players back to follow Sam's journey of trying to reunite the remnants of humanity. Sam will leave the UCA (United Cities of America) region and embark on a new mission with new comrades to face a divided world. The main questions raised in the narrative are: Should we have connected?
This game reunites Sam with new threats and extreme obstacles in a changing world.

The Cast and Production Team Behind the Game
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach features the return of Norman Reedus as Sam, alongside Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker. They will be joined by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning director George Miller.
Hideo Kojima is leading the project alongside a creative team with experience from the first game. Yoji Shinkawa is responsible for character and mechanical design, Ludvig Forssell is the music director, and Kyle Cooper is the title designer.
SXSW Panel and Pre-Order Details
In March 2025, Kojima Productions held a special panel Death Stranding 2: On The Beach at the SXSW event that took place in Austin, Texas. In this session, Hideo Kojima appeared alongside Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, and Woodkid to share the latest updates about the game.
