There is exciting news from TOKYOTOON Inc. who will introduce two of their latest indie visual novel games at Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024. Let's take a closer look!
Melt Away
This game is the latest work from Overcast, the creators of the famous visual novel "Cloudy Days". Melt Away is a visual novel with an immersive narrative and beautiful watercolor-style illustrations.
The story follows a protagonist who starts out as a casual visitor. There, he hears a girl playing the piano with a melody that touches the heart and gives a sense of freedom. However, the happiness doesn't last long. The girl says, "Hey, I think I'm going to die soon."
The game is scheduled for an early 2025 release on Steam and will support Japanese, English, as well as Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
Children of Belgrade Metro
The Children of Belgrade Metro game by Summertime Company is a visual novel full of suspense and psychology. It has received enthusiastic support and won the Grand Prix at the 2018 Tyrano Game Festival. It uses distinctive pixel art and visuals reminiscent of PC-98 games.
In this game, we follow Shizuki who has just moved to Belgrade, Serbia, and accidentally stumbles upon the abandoned Belgrade Metro. Who would have thought that this place would turn out to be the headquarters for people with extraordinary abilities who are bored and restless.
Amidst the heat of a Balkan summer and brutalist apartment buildings, children are drawn into a mysterious world in a forgotten metro. The game will also be released on Steam in multiple languages.
