The Story of Taiki and Musashi's Friendship

The game's story centers on a boy named Taiki and his beloved Shiba Inu dog, Musashi. After a tragedy takes Musashi's life, Taiki prays at a shrine and his dog miraculously comes back to life as "Inubashira", a divine dog. However, Musashi is bound by a mysterious chain of curses.

To save his best friend, you as Taiki must embark on a journey to the "Root Realm" to collect sacred relics that can free him. This journey will test their bond of friendship and reveal unexpected truths.

Exploring a World Full of Yokai

"Mononoke no Kuni" takes players into a world depicted in a painting-like art style. Each region offers different scenery and atmospheres, creating a world that feels both alien and mesmerizing.

During your adventures, you'll meet various unique Mononokes such as Nekomata (cat spirits) and Gama (frog spirits). You can bond with them to ask for help. Gameplay primarily involves exploration and battles against evil yokai. You'll use Musashi's holy power to purify the yokai in intense battles.
