Game Fishing adventure RPG, Nice Day for Fishing, is now officially available for Xbox Series consoles. This announcement from publisher Team17 and developer FusionPlay confirms the game's presence in the Xbox ecosystem, following its initial launch for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 29.
Unique Story in Nice Day for Fishing
Created by the team behind the YouTube series Viva La Dirt League, Nice Day for Fishing presents a story that starts from a precarious situation.
As the heroes of the world of Azerim disappear, evil forces begin to threaten the land. In the midst of these conditions, Baelin, a fisherman NPC, must rise up to defend the city of Honeywood.
Something different has happened to him; Baelin is no longer just an NPC, but has become an Adventurer. You will take on the role of Baelin to take on this new responsibility.
Gameplay that's More than Just Fishing
The main activity in this game is a skill-demanding fishing battle. You'll face off against different types of fish using a combination of precise timing and magic spells.
Choosing the right pass and timing the attack perfectly is the key to victory. In addition, there are boss fish that lurk in the depths and will be a true test of your abilities.
The world of Azerim is yours to explore, both on land and underwater. The adventure will take you from the Honeywood Forest to the shores of Azerim, where you'll find new quests, people to rescue, and new types of fish to catch.
You can also direct your hook to reach hard-to-reach caves and upgrade your fishing line to explore deeper waters.
Customization, Progression, and City Building
As an Adventurer, Baelin has equipment that serves as weapons, mounts, and armor. The fishing rod is your weapon, the boat is your mount, and the hat is your armor.
You can equip Baelin with the appropriate equipment for each task, such as magnetic hooks to attract treasure or drills to open new paths. To get the best equipment, you'll need to upgrade all the shops to the maximum level.
During your adventures, you'll find valuable resources from shipwrecks that can be used to rebuild Honeywood. With the help of the Woodcutter, the village can be restored.
Each upgraded building will unlock more equipment and quests from merchants. You can also complete fish collections from each region and offer them at the Fishing God statue to receive skill upgrades.

With its latest launch, Nice Day for Fishing is now playable on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Microsoft Store as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
