In the midst of the digital age, the longing for physical media is a strong sentiment among collectors. In response to this, a project The collaboration between Sony and Bandai Gashapon brings a new product in the form of a series of capsule toys that replicate game boxes from the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 consoles in miniature.
Accurate Details on PlayStation Miniature Replicas
Each item in this collection is designed with a high level of detail. These replicas not only feature the front cover, but also reproduce the back of the box according to the original packaging.
A key feature of this product is that each miniature box can be opened to reveal the replica disk inside.
The color of the disc was also made to match the original format: black for PS1 games that used the CD-ROM format, and silver for PS2 games that used the DVD-ROM format.
On the PS2 game box replica, the inside even includes a bracket detail for memory card storage.
Each unit comes with a chain hanger, allowing it to function as an accessory.
List of Titles in the PlayStation Collection
The product line, named "Game Package Mini Charm", consists of a total of nine titles game. The eight titles that have been announced include games from two generations of consoles.

- Hot Shots Golf (1997): Known in Japan as Minna no Golf and developed by Camelot Software Planning.
- Doko Demo Issyo (1999): A Japanese exclusive release that is compatible with PocketStation and features the character Toro.
- XI (1998): A game action-puzzle dice-based game that was also released exclusively in Japan.
For consoles PlayStation 2 (PS2), the collection includes:
- Ape Escape 2 (2002)
- Hot Shots Golf 3 (2001)
- Holiday with Toro (2001)
- Ico (2001)
Complementing the eight titles already announced, the collection also includes one "secret" item. The clues provided only indicate that the item is a game title from the PS2 console, adding an element of surprise for collectors.
Availability and Price
The Game Package Mini Charm collection has been distributed through capsule toy machines across Japan. The price for one capsule is set at 300 yen (approximately US$2).
