Sid Meier's Civilization VII has now been officially released globally, bringing a new chapter in the strategy franchise that has sold over 73 million copies worldwide. For the first time in the series' history, the game is available simultaneously across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as Mac and Linux via Steam.
In addition, Civilization VII - VR which is announced in Civ World Summit is scheduled for release in Spring 2025.

At Civilization VIIIn this game, you'll lead a civilization and determine the course of its development through the ages. By choosing one of history's legendary leaders, you can build cities, expand territories, and grow your empire according to your own strategy.
Some of the main elements that you will encounter in this game include:
- Building cities and wonders of the world to expand your influence and enhance the progress of your civilization.
- Developing technology and culture which will affect your economic as well as military power.
- Establish diplomacy or conquer other civilizations, paving the way for strategic alliances or global domination.
Online Mode and Multiplayer Features
If you want to play with friends, Civilization VII provides an online multiplayer mode with support for up to eight players. On PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, up to five players can play in Antiquity & Exploration Ages, while Modern Age allows up to eight players in a single match.
For Nintendo Switch, the number of players in online mode differs slightly, with support for up to four players in Antiquity & Exploration Ages, as well as six players in Modern Age. Some map size restrictions may apply to cross-platform games, depending on the platform used.
