The latest project from the Mobile Suit Gundam line: Iron-Blooded Orphans will air in a double feature format. The compilation movie titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - Urdr-Hunt Special Edition: Path of the Little Challenger will be paired with an original short anime Makuai no Kusabi. Both are scheduled to be released in Japanese theaters on October 31, 2025.
Story and Trailer
Urdr-Hunt - Path of the Little Challenger is the first adaptation of a mobile game Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urdr-Hunt into the format anime. The movie recreates the main story of the game into a compilation movie with updated visuals for the big screen. A trailer and key visuals have been released, showing snippets of scenes as well as the cinematically reconstructed atmosphere of the story.
The movie will be aired alongside a short anime Makuai no Kusabi (Kusabi of the Interlude), which takes place in between Season 1 and Season 2 of the TV series Iron-Blooded Orphans.
This short story features Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka, and focuses on the state of Tekkadan after completing the Kudelia Aina Bernstein escort mission. As their organization's reputation grows in the Outer Sphere, Orga begins to face pressure as a young leader, while the members of Tekkadan begin to act on their own decisions.
