Shingo Adachi is known for his works in Sword Art Online and Lycoris Recoil, while Kenta Matsukuma will handle the music side. For the animation itself, the movie is produced by CLAP studio, which previously worked on The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes.

Interestingly, some of the staff that Hirao worked with at Pompo the Cinephile is also involved in this project again.

WASTED CHEF is already getting international attention

Before the release date is announced, WASTED CHEF has already stolen the show internationally. The project was selected for Annecy Animation Showcase at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which is usually the place to highlight promising animation projects.
