Latest update Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1 titled "The Impending Crash of Waves" will officially launch on July 16, 2025. Two New Areas: Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort
One of the main attractions of update 2.1 is the introduction of two new areas, Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort. Sailume Bay is located under the cliffs of Failume Heights and is at the center of the main story in Chapter 2 Season 2. Here, players will follow a security investigation led by Porcelumex to address the chaos caused by the Exaltists. The investigation involves a new character, Alice Thymefield, who is a descendant of the noble Thymefield family and will join the Spook Shack faction.
Fantasy Resort, on the other hand, offers a summer vacation atmosphere with sandy beaches, coconut trees, and fun activities. This area is where players can enjoy special events, mysteries, and adventures with their favorite characters.
New Characters and Special Banners
Update 2.1 introduces two new characters from the Spook Shack faction. Ukinami Yuzuha is an S-Rank Physical Support Agent who uses a tanuki named Kama to assist the team with candy bomb attacks and increase Anomaly Buildup. Her special ability, Sweet Scare, can customize the attributes of the active character and strengthen the team's attacks.
Alice Thymefield comes as an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent with elegant sword techniques. She can collect Blade Etiquette and use it to launch powerful attacks that increase Assault and Disorder damage. In addition, Miss Esme, the S-Rank Bangboo, will provide support effects such as Energy or HP recovery. Popular characters such as Miyabi (S-Rank Frost Anomaly) and Yanagi (S-Rank Electric Anomaly) will also return in special banners.
Summer Events and New Features
The once majestic Fantasy Resort is now in need of revitalization. Players will work with Spook Shack to revive the resort through various water activities such as surfing, sea shooting, and fishing. The fishing system is now more relaxed and diverse, so players can enjoy a new experience without excessive grinding.
In addition, this update also brings the Bangboo Auto Battler "En-Nah" Chess Legend event with PvP mode, as well as a Simulated Battle Trial update with a challenging new scoring system. Summer costumes for Yuzuha, Alice, and the protagonists will also be available, adding to the holiday feel in the game.
